"All students, their family and friends are invited to attend this fun and exciting event! We begin at 11am so arrive early to be ready to start at 11am, especially since there are other activities occurring at the Boys and Girls Club that will make finding a parking space difficult. (There is additional parking in the Staff parking lot, located to your right as you enter the “circle”- you drive through the “circle” just before entering the parking lot for the Middle School/Boys and Girls Club.)" - Kevin Sensei

Hey Anthony,
Good find! Since you were able to accompany Edward and me to his class in Studio City you know that this entertaining style you see in the video is simply the way he is all the time! Lots of fun and serious Aikido at the same time- what more can you ask for? This is why we may bring him to SoCal for a workshop in the fall.

Thanks Anthony! Its amazing watching him move! Now I see what Edward Sensei referred to when he talked about the size of Mustard Sensei versus his precision of movement.

@6:30 Mustard Sensei said "don't stick your finger in my ear." Then the kid did it anyway!!! I'll do that next time to you Anthony. ;-)

Thank you Kevin Sensei for the reminder to maintain our humbleness. This virtue really does help us to learn so much more than being closed within our own rigid beliefs of "I know and what I know is the right way".
Internationally known Aikido teacher, Jacques Payet, will be coming to Aikido of Del Mar on Tuesday, 9/15 at 6-8PM, and on Wednesday 9/16 at 7-9PM. Note that the class start time on Tuesday is an hour earlier than usual. This is a very special opportunity to train with such an outstanding teacher and we urge everyone to attend both nights if at all possible. Payet Sensei makes Aikido interesting and accessible to both beginners and more experienced students- it will be a memorable time for all. We will be asking for a $15 donation/class from dues-paying students and $20/class from those not paying regular dues. This will be passed on to Payet to pay expenses- cash appreciated. We will have several guests joining us for this special event.

Love it! I often purposefully to do what is "wrong" in order to feel what is "right". It is nice to know the color white with the contrast of black, red, or blue. Is that a bad habit in training? Am I training my body "wrongly"?
